HYPOTHESIS

HYPOTHESIS

The mean  post test knowledge score of puberty girls who received structured teaching programme regarding menstrual hygiene will be significally higher than the mean pre test knowledge score. 

There will be no significant difference between the mean pre test knowledge score and the mean post test knowledge score of puberty girls regarding menstrual hygiene. 

OPERATIONAL DEFINITION

1. Evaluation

Assessing  the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on awareness of menstrual  hygiene among puberty girls by conducting pre test and post test.

2. Effectiveness

The extent to which the structured teaching programme on awareness of menstrual  hygiene has achieved  the desired effect on the knowledge of puberty girsl  regarding menstrual hygiene

3. Structured Teaching Programme

A planned teaching schedule regarding menstrual hygiene for puberty girls.

4. Importance

Importance implies a value judgement of the superior worth or influence of something /someone. 

5. Maintenance

Activities required /understand to conserve as nearly & as long as possible the original condition of and as set / resource while compensating for normal wear / tear. 

6. Puberty

The period of sexual maturity between 13 to 14 in boys,  & 11-16 years in girls.

7. Menstrual Hygiene

Menstural Hygiene is mostly important to maintain reproductive health. It is the “hygiene during the period of menstruation”

DELIMITATIONS

The study is limited to only for puberty girls.

The study is limited to those who can read and write and understand english. 

The study is limited to students who are willing to praticipate in the Structured Teaching Programme.

The Study is limited to students who are present at the time of data collection. 

VARIABLES

Variables are concepts at various levels of abstraction that are measured manipulated / collected in study. 

Independint Variables:

Structured Teaching  Programme on menstrual hygiene.

Dependent Variables:

Knowledge of puberty girls of Government Schools at Hyderabad.

PROJECTED OUTCOME

This study is proposed to determined the puberty girls knowledge regarding menstrual hygiene before and after structured teaching programme. 

The findings of the study would help the Nurse to plan the health condition programme.
